Essar Steel Ltd on November 24, 2009 appointed Ignitee Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd as their online agency. Ignitee has been assigned the project of developing Essar Steel Hypermart’s website, which falls in the commodity retail industry. The account size of this win was not disclosed at the time of filing the report.

The website aims at giving customers access to updated commodity prices and loyalty programmes online. The website will also equip Essar Steel Hypermart’s managerial team with better insights from the sales and analytical perspective.

In conversation wth exchange4media, Jyotindra Bagwadkar, Head - Technology, Ignitee Digital Solutions, said, “Essar’s primary objective is to create an robust interactive website for the end consumer, which will provide product information, e-commerce facilities and sufficient amount of engagement opportunities that ensures repeat visits. The objective really is to design a website that will cater to the customer requirements, which is account management, gathering information related to their loyalty programme – Bandhan – and to help customer avail all benefits offered by Essar Steel Hypermart.”

Bagwadkar further said, “Ignitee’s strategy will be to ensure that we increase footfalls on the website. Steelhypermart has transparent pricing and commitment to quality. We will ensure that the customers’ online experience is fruitful by creating a destination where they get updated product information and make informed decisions.”
